I would like to thank both Jason and Evan of IWearYourShirt for their great promotion yesterday. I had a blast interacting with all of you on Facebook and Twitter throughout the day. The chats on UStream sometimes bordered on the insane, but it was all in good fun.

Now, down to the real business. We had 2 different contests running yesterday for our Mini Pro 1.0 Basketball Hoop. One was on Twitter and the other through Facebook. On Twitter we asked you to tweet “The @JustInTymeSport mini hoops are …”. Some of the great tweets were

@williamcheek @JustInTymeSport mini hoops are WAY too cool for school…I heartily embrace the “and older” part of your age recommendation.

@johncorfee The @JustInTymeSport mini hoops are so amazingly awesome that they make me bow down on my knees offering much praise and worship.

@jkelly901 The @JustInTymeSport mini hoops are innovative and make me feel like a kid again

@MomMostTraveled The @JustInTymeSport mini hoops stay crispy in milk.

@tracydmc70 The @JustInTymeSport mini hoops are adorable, perfect for a big game in a little space!

The winner, though, was @Peter352 The @JustInTymeSport mini hoops are exactly what I need to ensure my day consists of only 10% actual work. So, gimme one already.

On Facebook we asked you to give us the most creative shot you would take on our mini hoops. Again, a lot of creativity, and quite a few had me laughing. The winner from Facebook is Matt Hoffman who said:

There are three shots i’d like to do. One would involve some ice cubes and a nine iron. Two would include a buffalo…
Live or stuffed, preferably stuffed for safety sake, and three, we bring
back some of those ice cubes and switch it over to a pitching wedge. Just sayin. (p.s. name the reference and get a free high-five)

The Billy Madison reference, handing out high-fives, and following it with a reference to How I Met Your Mother put him over the top!

Please get in touch with me through Twitter, Facebook, or e-mail (justin@justintymesports.com) with your address and we will send you the hoop. Congratulations you two! Enjoy the hoops! For the rest of you who are disappointed, you can still save 10% by entering IWYS during checkout.

Our popular Mini Pro II has gotten an upgrade to the 2.0 version. Read on to see what the first Mini Pro 2.0 owner had to say about the hoop!

Our Mini Pro 2.0 Basketball Hoop in a customized bedroom

At JustInTymeSports we keep pushing the limits as to what a mini basketball hoop is. We are always looking for ways to make our hoops stronger and more realistic. With our recent upgrade of the Mini Pro II to the newly-named Mini Pro 2.0, the first user of the new hoop weighed in with his review via e-mail.

The rim is stiff, but it is solid. The boys have been jaming and hanging on the rim! That is what kids want to do! I can even jam on the thing! GYM CLASS HERO! LOL..

I am extremely happy with the durability of the rim. We play pig and horse many nights. I would hate if the ball hit the rim and the rim flexed. This thing is like a true hoop! It is tough for my 7 year old to get the rim to break away when he slams. He is pretty light! However, my 10 and 11 year old boys love to follow through on the rim and hang for a second. They are doing some monster dunks and the rim is working well for them. I think that is when the tougher spring is better. Plus, after I mounted this thing – it’s tight and not too noisey. I think the rim’s stiffness has something to do with that. This is important when placed in a residential bedroom! My wife hasn’t complained once about the noise of this hoop, and that is truly AMAZING! LOL…I would pay double for that!

Before I found your company, I read reviews on the cheap SKLZ basketball hoop and how noisey it is. I wonder if it has to do with the spring being weak. In the reviews, people were commenting on how noisey it was and that when they shot from a distance the rim-flex stunk! That would (stink)!

So – overall I am happy with with your product, your customer service and your drive for perfection! The boys play everyday! It is the best indoor toy! Those basketballs are too funny…synthetic leather….like real…. I love that!
